Stalking Jack the Ripper

Stalking Jack the Ripper by Kerri Maniscalco
Publication Date: September 20, 2016 by Jimmy Patterson, 336 pages

Seventeen-year-old Audrey Rose Wadsworth was born a lord’s daughter, with a life of wealth and privilege stretched out before her. But between the social teas and silk dress fittings, she leads a forbidden secret life.

Against her stern father’s wishes and society’s expectations, Audrey often slips away to her uncle’s laboratory to study the gruesome practice of forensic medicine. When her work on a string of savagely killed corpses drags Audrey into the investigation of a serial murderer, her search for answers brings her close to her own sheltered world.

There has been a ton of hype over Stalking Jack the Ripper, and it is totally well-deserved IMO. The concept is so unique, especially for YA, and I love books that take historical events and put a fun spin on them. If you love My Lady Janeyou will probably love SJtR!  I can’t wait to purchase this one in September. It’s a great pre-Halloween, spooky fall reading choice that I am SO HERE FOR. Plus, girls being badass and breaking social codes is AWESOME.

SJTR will be out September 20, so look out for my review & more to come! Want to win an advanced copy of the book to read before anyone else?! Goodreads is currently running a giveaway! Click here to enter, or not, because I really want to win… 😉
